A Random Photo Shoot

This afternoon we were on our way home and decided to stop and take some pictures in the old part of Downtown Twin Falls.  There are lots of fun places to take pictures, and if we would have all been wearing nicer clothes, we just might have some pictures worth framing.  Oh well...it seems that when I want something just perfect, it never happens, so these candid shots will have to do.  They really do show some personality though, which is a lot of fun.

Little Miss Sassafras

This picture shows each of the kids personalities very well.
Chloe loves to pose for the pictures.
 Love the wink.
Do you see what I see?

Do you see what I see now?
I can't believe she is only in 1st grade.  It scares me.
 Carter has discovered the fire-starting
magnifying glass.
It's Matt's turn to take the pictures.  I used to be a model before I was reincarnated, so this pose comes pretty naturally for me.
Matt seems to get the best pictures when I'm not looking.
 Me and my snuggle-bug.

Have you ever wondered what people are looking at when they get their picture taken?  I like to be the one behind the camera, not in the picture.  I do love this background wall.
Chloe is at such a fun age.  She loves to do all these fun hand-chanting games.  It takes me back to elementary school recess.

Every once in a while I have to show her I am still strong enough.
Oh dear, look at what this one gets caught doing!
She realizes she is caught, but she didn't have the courage to actually do it...there is no puddle.  She has a very strong will when it comes to potty.  "I will not pee myself!"
 Here is cutie-patootie again.
Who is this handsome man who doesn't like me taking pictures of him?  He is getting way too grown up!  He is less than a head taller than me and we can't keep his pants from shrinking into floods.
I love it when he smiles, but boys this age don't like showing their teeth.  He wants his hair to get long enough so he can flip it.  I love the curly waves, but not the shaggy-dog look.  We have to compromise with long on top and short around the ears and on the bottom.
Here comes Smiley with his elbow pose like Chloe.  I don't think he realized that Chloe was actually resting her elbow on a little ledge.  He likes to get his picture taken when, and only when, it is his idea.
He is pretending to point at a bug.
He pretends to pick it up and looks to Daddy for approval.

I recently read the book Miss Spitfire about Helen Keller's teacher Anne Sullivan.  I think I might re-name Josie.  She makes a great Miss Spitfire.
Look up Josie!  Look at those tippy-toes!
 Scrunch your nose!
 Big Cheese!
 Now be cute!
Wow!  Who is that?  Oh, yeah, he was a model before he was reincarnated as well.  That's how we met!
Wait...maybe we met when we starred in the movie Fame.
Oh, now I remember, it was on the set of Jackie Chan's Rush Hour.  Matt was one of his stunt men.
 Isn't he manly?
Gotta love his shoes.  It's his artist's statement.
 The Boys.
 The Happy Feet Family.
And since Memaw was with us, we threw her into the photo shoot.  I hope we didn't hurt her.  We had to get her and her jungle jacket.
She thought she heard a ghost in the vacant building.  They say, once you turn 57, you start to lose your hearing.  Or was it losing your sanity?  I can't remember.  Either way, it fits.
We love you Memaw and we know you can take more than your share of teasing!
What a fun few minutes we had taking pictures.  Like I said, I wish we were dressed appropriately for pictures so we could have taken a nice family one.  They turned out cute anyway.

Happy Photographing!
