Yard Clean Up Day!
Today is the day Daddy is going to teach Carter and
possibly Chloe how to mow the lawn.
First things first. In order to mow the lawn, you first must clear off all large debris. Pine cones and rocks are some of the debris we had to clear. Mason and Chloe were really great helpers picking up as many items as they could while we counted to 100. Isn't Mason strong carrying the bucket?
Water hoses must be removed as well. Thanks Chloe!
Next you must empty the bag if it was neglected after the previous mowing. Just dump it over the fence for the cows, they love it.
Then you replace the bag...like so. Any questions?
Now, you give it a really good tug, using all your might!
Great job Carter!
Dad is a great teacher and he showed Carter how to use the push-mower. You need some serious leg muscles to get it moving.
Father and daughter in perfect stride. Chloe wants to help.
Bring out the muscles Chloe!
There you go!
After they muscled it out with the push-mower, Memaw brought out her self-propelled mower and the kids mowed the easier way.
Meanwhile, the little ones decide it is play time.
My favorite picture of the bouncy girl.
We love the idea of having children old enough to help mow the lawn. We love the idea even more of living in a place this summer where there is grass to mow! Yeah!!!
Thank you Memaw!!!
