Memaw works at Toy Town and every Tuesday they have arts and crafts that we can participate in. This week we made kites, and boy were they fun!
We got to use these marker paints to decorate our kites with. They kind of reminded me of roll-on deoderant. (Do they still make that stuff?) Anyway, they work well for the kids.
After the kite decorating, Josie found a few of her favorite things at Toy Town. The jewelry.
Last week we did face painting, and they carried over the face painting to today as well. Chloe has a very lovely lady bug on her cheek. She also decided to dress up fancy, once we got home.
Dressing up is one of our all-time favorite things to do as a family. Just grab whatever you can
and put it on...like this...
Any ideas what Mason might be???
Any ideas what Josie might be???
And back to the kites...since the wind picked up.
Josie became a little frustrated that her kite just layed there.
Chloe shows her that you've gotta run and lift.
And as Chloe would say, "Oh, yeah!"
My guess is that Mason is having a blast.
I love this picture! He's caught in mid air...and lifting off.
Daddy comes home just in time to witness this high-flying adventure!
Josie concentrates ever so carefully on letting out more string. Where are those round string rolls that you put your fingers in and is smoothly lets out the string?
Carter lets out all his string...boy those kites really fly!
Finally, a happy girl!
Go Josie! She did such a great job holding up the kite! They were really high in the sky.
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Oh, it's just my kite really high in the sky.
I can see better with just one eye, the sky is so bright!
Even Daddy is impressed with the craftsmanship of these kites.
They are the best flying kites we have ever had!
Deep thoughts.
What a fun day! Josie is exceptionally glad now, because she has gum!
How come things that we loved to do as kids are so much more fun when you are doing it with your own children? They have such enthusiasm, excitement, energy and great facial expressions.
