Our Family Reunion in Heber, Arizona

July 17th through 21st we went to Heber Arizona for a family reunion with Matt's Mom and siblings. It was a really fun time. We had lots of wild adventures...hence the very long trail of pictures. So, since pictures speak a thousand words...I will let them speak and only make comments when I feel it necessary. :)This is the "Laws" Cabin and they are selling it...wish we had the money to buy it.
We have visited here two different years for our family reunion. Josie found the package of E.L. Fudge.

She hasn't had many sweets...so we were interested to see how she likes cookies.
Don't worry Mark...they were Krystal's package. :)

We spent the first day there going for a little nature hike.

Daddy is playing the pack-mule as usual.

This is the hike back down. Way to go troopers!

Kaitlyn and Chloe became fast friends this trip. They decided that the girls had to stick together since they were alone (besides baby Josie) amongst all the boy cousins this weekend.

Grandma Polly had several crafts for the kids to enjoy over the weekend.
They are decorating foam visors with lots of little things.

The kids were great workers. Mason kept pushing this mop bucket around trying to be helpful.
Then the zip line...Krystal giving a high-five...or maybe just getting ready to slap someone silly.
Michael likes it...I would say Mikey likes it, but then I might be the one getting slapped. :)
Here comes Carter...
You can even see the trees blur by!
There's Colton.

Ok, must be food time again...Matt is stuffing his big mouth full of Kristi's Creamy Tacos.
Then there was the VERY serious volleyball game...or one of the many. We spent several hours each day playing volleyball. It was a great time.

The kids kept themselves entertained with the sand toys.
They found a special little spot underneath the playset...Dress up clothes and all.

Not sure what I was doing, but looks like everyone else is gearing up to cover up for my mistake.
Mandy had lots of really great pictures of volleyball. I didn't have many, but here is one of Mark's mean serve.

Who's got it?
Then on to a bigger and better game of "Don't Eat Pete".
Mike very strategically eating all of the candy while trying to not eat Pete.
Mason just enjoying the fact that he gets to "Eat" candy.
So, here is the miracle of this game...Kristi and her son Michael both miraculously ate every single piece of candy while leaving Pete alone on the game board. They still are not fessing up to their "strategy!" :) Way to go guys!

...Still trying to explain how she did it...(See the lone Pete on her board)
Polly taking a turn.
Judson sneaking up behind Colton while he plays.
This was too cute. Judson was twirling this umbrella around and having a great time...I think he thought he was the only one in the room. Cute boy.
Kaitlyn had fun playing with Josie and Josie soaked up all the attention. Like I said earlier...these girls have to stick together amongst all the boy cousins.
Josie had a fun game of her own. Chewing on Daddy's chin.
Then it was time for Grandma Polly to bring out the games.
Colton taking a whap at it.
Then Michael...the poor little red lady bug didn't stand much of a chance...she cringed when she saw Michael coming up to bat!!!
Oh, then Carter took his swing at it...No telling what that lady bug would have looked like if he didn't have a blindfold on.
Kaitlyn looks delicate, but she is tougher than nails too. The candy on the ground is proof of that.
Showing off the loot.

Colton had a game to play also...can't remember what it was called.
It involved a pair of socks (clean preferably), a candy bar, a knife and a fork.

Lots of fun.
Games seem to be more fun when candy is involved.
Josie and Shay always enjoying a load of fun.
Next game...(must be since there is candy!) We had to roll doubles with the dice and then suck up m&m's with a straw. It really "sucked" when the bowl of m&m's got ripped away from the underneath you and it wasn't your turn anymore.
Then the karate, or whatever this was, began.

A sweet little picture of Polly, with her kids and grandkids.
Is that Superman...or Judson...oh, it's both!
Then time came for DDR. I believe this is a new tradition in the making.
Dance. Dance. Revolution!

I think Krystal might be the reinging champion.
Unless Polly and Kristi took her out this year.
Well, that is all for the pictures. Looking at the pictures helps bring back the memories of being together as a family. This is a new tradition for our Kear family. We decided a couple of years ago that we need to get "away" together every other year to spend time having fun. We do it in July or August to celebrate Matt's brother's graduation to the next life. Mason Andrew, Matt's little brother, was killed in a car accident in 2005 and was a tragic event in our lives. We are grateful for the many blessings that Heavenly Father has given us to help remember him. While at the cabin we try to do, and of course, eat many of the things that Mason loved. Volleyball, wrestling, Creamy Tacos, Nacho Cheese, and laughing at each other.
Thanks Mason for bringing us together!

A Stroll Down Memory Lane

Calling all Memories!!
So here is a fun new blogging game:

1. Leave one memory that you and I had together, as a comment on my blog. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. Have a nice little trip down memory lane!
